Recently , my wife and I just completed a 3000 sq ft cottage on Hopkins Bay / Lake Huron , 5 minutes outside Tobermory. We have several what " we think " for us are unique and or show piece features. Among these are 18' ceilings , timber frame, 12' walnut bar, 16 step / U shaped center stringer open steel stairs with walnut treads , this also includes an 11' x 8' open landing with steel railing. Being the contractors ourselves one of the biggest challenges was finding the right people in this somewhat remote area to do the unique specialty items. When it came to the stairs I was referred to Bluewater Custom Fabricating and being from Sarnia this was a fit. From the outset we were treated with professionalism and care. I presented Chris with a rude sketch , site pictures and my thoughts. Chris and his design team took this and worked with me through conceptual ideas to fabrication dwgs. Everything had to be 100% with an 8 hour return trip if not. I felt in good hands the whole time. On site the team was again professional and took great pride in their work and ensuring our satisfaction. The installation went seamless. The quality of the work is impeccable .
